About Good Golf is Easy
In this book John Norsworthy shows you how to:
- Make your swing and your overall game consistent and reliable.
- Rediscover and draw upon your innate skills of coordination, timing and feel you first learned as a child.
- Save shots on every hole with techniques for trouble shots, the short game and for putting.
- Master your attitude so that you not only play your best but also positively enjoy yourself when playing!
If like most weekend golfers you have only limited time to practice and to play golf, this book will provide you with an approach that is perfect for you.
John is a P.G.A. Master teaching professional with more than a half century of experience as a professional teacher. His methods are the result of teaching thousands of students at every level from complete beginners to tournament professionals, from celebrities to politicians, and even a king! They are also the result of extensive research into the methods used by the greatest players and teachers of the past century.
Let the player within you play
While we can not guarantee you the consistency of Luke Donald's short game, the fluidity of Rory McIlroy's swing, or the steely determination of Tiger Woods, we will put you on the right path to bringing out the very best in your game, much more of the time.
Slices, hooks, fat shots, thin shots or plain missing the ball should become a thing of the past and your scoring improve appreciably.
As proven by Bubba Watson's magical victory at the 2012 Augusta masters, you do not need a perfect looking swing to score low. In his amazing comeback on the final day he went on to beat the 2010 St Andrews Open Championship winner, Louis Oosthuizen, after a stunning two-hole playoff. What is truly amazing, and an inspiration to us all, is that Bubba is self taught and has no swing coach or mental guru.
Back in the days of old, when players relied more on their instincts, such achievements were frequent. Bubba like the great champions and teachers of the past found the secret that enabled him to bring out the very best in his game, a secret that can bring out the very best in your game, a secret contained within Good Golf is Easy!
Golf 2.0
Jack Nicklaus is a great supporter of Golf 2.0 which is opening the game of golf to us all. Good Golf is Easy embraces its principles by making golf simpler to learn and to play.
Foreword by Morgan Mason
I have been blessed in many ways over the years. One of those blessings was an impulse to take a golf lesson having never touched a club or had any interest before.
That day I was blessed again to meet John Norsworthy. Since then he has become a true friend and mentor. Although I didn’t take that first lesson until well past the age of 40, I was able, with John’s guidance and confidence in me, to go from complete novice to a single digit handicap in less than 3 years. Something I didn’t really believe was possible but John did. John is not only a great teacher but also a great gentleman. I believe this book will be a tremendous asset to golfers of all levels.
The comparisons between the players of yesterday and today are revealing and show that with all the modern technology available now, not much has really changed in the last 100 years. These eternal truths will benefit the game of all golfers and more importantly will make the game easier and more enjoyable.
Thank you John and bless you for making my life so much more enjoyable!
