The faces on standard wedges wear out very quickly, a pro on tour will replace wedges every four or five weeks. The edge of the score lines control spin, the breakdown of the milling there equals loss of control. Under a microscope, the milling on a sandblasted wedge looks like the surface of the moon, milling on Jesses wedge looks like 10,000 symmetrical saw teeth; giving you ultimate control. The wedges incorporate a face insert that has a material that maintains its integrity for up to 10,000 shots. Wedge maintains the feel of a classic wedge by the addition of a 3M bonding membrane placed behind the face insert. When heated, the membrane produces a bond stronger than a metal weld, but retains its characteristic sponginess for natural feel and playability. Its like a perimeter-weighted wedge with a classic look. The body of the wedge head is Stainless 302 steel, a very soft stainless to help absorb shock and allow players to bend the neck. The body features a frosted, glass-beaded finish. Jesse hollowed out the area behind the face insert, allowing the muscle to be deeper and thicker, lowering the center of gravity on the club, making for a higher ball flight and softer landings. The Femco Steel Shaft is made by the same company that makes the KB Tour shafts. Grip is a Lamkin Crossline Midsize.
