Amazon.com Product Description Designed for active, outdoor lifestyles--as well as the rigors of harsh urban landscapes--the full-sized Timex analog/digital men's watch (model 45181) adds a stylish yet rugged complement to your everyday wear. It features a large olive resin watch case that's topped by a olive bi-directional rotating bezel with black elapsed time markings. The brown dial includes large stick markers, arrow-tipped luminous hands (with red seconds hand), and small minute indexes. It also features a digital window at the bottom of the dial, which offers the ability to track three time zones, a 24-hour chronograph (with lap/split option), 24-hour countdown timer, and an alarm. Other features include a comfortable brown nylon Fast Wrap strap (with buckle clasp) and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet). The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function.

Good watch, but the band makes it hard to wear. August 17, 2010 dabluze 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this watch a couple of months ago. The watch works well, as have other Timex watches I've owned. My main roblem is the cheap, plastic, scratchy wristband. It rubs me the wrong way whenever I wear it.
unbelievable July 26, 2010 seriously? 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have been wearing the Timex Expedition for years now. I like the dual display (hands and digital) and they seem to hold up quite well through all of my extreme activities. However, the price has gone up and up and is now almost out of control. I found this watch and the price seemed fair and I got it. I couldn't wait to receive the watch but when I did, it's all plastic now... They used to be made of metal and I'm doubtfull this will hold up. not much for the money
Not much to look at, but serves it's purpose. July 20, 2010 P-Nasty 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this watch for $25 before my deployment to Iraq. My watch has been subjected to conditions that were far worse than the average wearer would probably experience. Conditions such as extreme heat, fine dust, and complete submersion in different liquids have not even fazed this watch. I have even accidently knocked it against concrete walls and tactical vehicles with it staying fully intact. Being able to set different time zones is a great feature. I always knew what time it was back home. I am really not sure what people expect for $25, anything past the ability to tell time is an added bonus to me. While it won't impress any ladies with its looks, it is a great buy.
nice design May 25, 2010 Rick Fortenberry (Cape Cod, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I seem to be buying one of these every year or two, usually through my own abuse :) Like wearing it all the time, even in the shower and occasionally in salt water. For the price, this is a nice watch. I like the indiglo light and the alarm function. Just cool looking, too :)
Good features, wish they had a higher-end version March 16, 2010 Nola (Bay Area, California, United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had an earlier generation of this watch, same color scheme but slightly different design. I think this is the best digital/analog combo out there, in terms of design. I am into interfaces, and Timex gets much right here:
Audio feedback when alarm is toggled off
2 level alarm beep pattern (more frantic one kicks in after ~10 sec of first one)
Any-button alarm shutoff
If alarm setting is changed, alarm is automatically set to on
Snooze
Different alarm pattern for timer alarm
Decent number of numbers shown on analog face.
Good set of digital functions (2 time zones, timer [key for me], stopwatch [lap/split], 1 alarm per time zone, display can default to time or day & day-of-week
But, on the other hand:
The tiny AM/PM indicator is often in the shadow of the analog face opening
Tick is rather loud
Indiglo is a little bright for dark room use. Feature request: button press & hold gives 2 sec of dim, followed by bright.
Crown is high, can get caught and get pulled out, stopping analog watch.
Minute hand can block digital readout, though other combo watches usually are worse in this regard
All in all, the best combo out there. However, for the second time with this line of watches, the crown has broken off. I bought it 8 mo ago, so off to Timex for warranty repair ($8). I am not that rough on the watches, but that big crown does get caught on its share of clothing & other objects. But it was when I pulled the crown out to adjust the analog time that the crown separated.
What I'd love: An $80-$100 version of this watch that:
- had better construction, a better band, and higher water resistance.
Until they make that, I guess I'll buy three of these, one after another...
