Tiger won’t be in the field as he recovers from surgery on his left knee. This tournament is great to watch on TV, especially the fun that happens on the famous 17th hole with its island green. Phil Mickelson is the defending champion. The course favors a golfer who can hit it long but has the proper course management skills. The TPC at Sawgrass was designed by Pete Dye and is the epitome of “risk vs. reward” golf course architecture.
